"Voila!" is sometimes heard in movies. 'Voila' is a French expression used in English to capture the listener's attention or reveal something surprising.
Taking inspiration from the pronunciation of 'Voila,' it was interpreted as the word 'Walla.' Walla is used as the service name, meaning 'voila' or 'ta-da,' which implies capturing attention and presenting something amazing.
Here are a few reasons for choosing a word with the meaning of 'ta-da!' as the service name:
1. A Service That Exclaims "Ta-da!"
There are numerous form-building services in the world, and we didn't aim to create just another one. We wanted to encompass a service that goes beyond simply 'creating forms.' Introducing GPT into forms for the first time worldwide and integrating Zapier into forms for the first time in South Korea were all driven by this goal. We aim to show innovation in the form market.
2. Focusing on Practicality, Efficiency, and Innovation
The Walla team focuses on creating practical, efficient, and innovative services. In practical work, there are often cases where you wonder, "Can this service do this too?" We hope that our service can answer, "Yes, it can!" each time, just like our service exclaims 'ta-da!' and provides assistance with various features.
3. Walla=Wall(et)+(Dat)a
In fact, Walla has a core feature that we will soon introduce. The central feature is the 'Wallet' function. When conceiving Walla initially, the main focus was on the Wallet feature, and we wanted to incorporate it into the name.
Form + Wallet may sound unfamiliar, but the Wallet feature will become an essential part of expanding the form builder market in the future.
We have combined the advantages and limitations of app tech services that we have felt over the past four years, aiming to reinterpret survey rewards like Starbucks gift cards according to the sensibilities of today's generation, without being confined to apps. Furthermore, we plan to build a survey market connected through the wallet. We will discuss this further in another article.
There is a saying in Korea, "Actions follow the name." Accordingly, we will create a service that will astonish you based on our name. Please continue to be amazed!
